Journey with us and learn the Wisdom of the Ancient Maya Teachers on our 2010 Maya Sacred Path to 2012 program. This is a tour series which began in 2005 and will be offered each year leading up to and past 2012, the end of the Mayan calendar. Each year we focus on different aspects of Mayan teachings and visit different Mayan sites as part of our journey. These journeys are for serious students who wish to evolve a deeper awareness of the true Mayan teachings and thus, evolve themselves through a spiritual awakening of cosmic consciousness.
Throughout our journey we will connect with three ancient Maya teachers: Itzamná, the first teacher who brought wisdom to the land of the Maya, Kukulkán, the feathered serpent and master of love and wisdom, and IxCheel/Ix Mukane, who represents the Sacred Feminine, Mother Nature, and the Heart of the Earth. These great teachers, representing Father, Son and Mother, are the Maya Forces of Creation, and it is they who will help us to be reborn in the mystical land of the Maya.
We will connect with each teacher at ancient Mayan sites throughout the beautiful state of Yucatán as well as in Campeche, focusing our connection in powerful sacred places. We begin by calling upon the Son, Kukulkán, at the sacred site of Mayapan, where we will be officially welcomed into the sacred land of the Maya with a special Opening Ceremony. We then deepen our connection with Kukulkán further at Chichen Itzá, one of the most well known ancient Maya sites, and now also one of the Seven Wonders of the World. We also visit the home of the great father, Itzamná, in the city of Izamal, a place where the sacred wisdom of the ancients is woven into the history and faith of the present day people. To connect with Mother/Grandmother Ixcheel/Ix Mukane, we immerse ourselves in the spectacular area of Rio Lagartos which lies within a 200 acre Biosphere Reserve and is home to an abundance of beautiful and majestic flora and fauna. We will also call upon her embrace and wisdom while in Campeche at the Tucan Si-Ho Playa Resort where we will join together in a special Ceremony for Mother Earth.
Our goal for this journey is to connect with the ancient wisdom directly from the source, from the ancient teachers themselves. We will listen for their messages and resonate with the vibrations they have left for us in the stones of their temples and pyramids. We will also feel their palpable energy at other sacred sites such as Edzná and Labná, and travel deep into the mysteries of the underworld at Xtakunbilxunan Cave.
Accompanying us on our journey will be Miguel Angel Vergara Calleros, our teacher of the Maya Wisdom, who will lead us in sacred ceremonies and share the wisdom of the ancients he has gathered through his in-depth studies and vast experiences. Also joining us is Dr. Richard Jelusich, whose passion for, and connection with the Mayan world, have kept him returning to this wondrous land many times over. He too will share the insights and wisdom he has gathered from his experiences and will also lead us in discussion with informative evening lectures.
