Dr. Jelusich has published his book Eye of the Lotus. Its subject matter is about our dominant chakras, and how they affect our mental, physical, spiritual and emotional states of being.

   5th Chakra - The Communicator

The Communicator

The Fifth Chakra-Dominant Individual

The nature of the communicative abilities is so strong coming through the throat chakra individual that often they will not perceive their own talent, but will tend to become frustrated, impatient, alienated and frenetic. Their ability to be so psychically in tune sets them at the point of receiving information first before anyone else in their own soul group.

When one understands that 95% of all communication is nonverbal and nonphysical, that it is energy on many other levels, then an understanding of the true dynamics of communication is possible. Communication, of course, is a two way street.

It is Yin (receptive, incoming): I hear, I see, I smell, I sense by touch, I taste.

It is Yang (outgoing, manifestative): I speak, I sing, I act on a stage, I write, I compose E-mail, I play music.

It is by this very nature of the throat chakra individual to be so in tune psychically that the immense power of the chakra creates a prescience in the physical mind to race ahead, to form conclusions and to live in the future. It is common for the throat chakra individual to finish other people’s sentences for them, to know where the subject matter is headed before it ever gets there, and to be impatient with those who “don’t get it.”

When two people meet, there is a dialogue on a very high level, seldom conscious, where the true communication is held, agreements are made, and karmic implications and/or free will choice decisions are put into effect by both parties through their relationship. The higher dialogue includes a precise recognition of the chakric attributes of the other person, any karmic ties, and reciprocal possibilities in order to work out a life’s mission.

The 95% that is not physical ensures that the dynamics of the possible relationship are functioning in both directions; that each individual in the relationship has the possibility of receiving the lessons to which they aspire.

An individual with a strong throat chakra presence will tend to draw individuals to them who have difficulty framing or articulating their desires. The throat chakra individual knows how to put into words, music, expressing through communication what the other individual cannot say.

Romans 8:26 in the Bible states, “Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: For we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.” That is, that most of us have a deep yearning in our hearts that we have difficulty expressing or articulating. It is the aspiration of our soul, spoken through the heart, that passes the understanding of the physical mind. The higher part of our own consciousness knows precisely what that is and how it is expressed. It is the throat chakra individual who can access that deep state of yearning and give words to it. Further, it is the life’s function of the communicator to take the information and make it palatable and understandable for their soul-group.

Each soul-group will always create the space for one or more throat-chakra dominant individual to take the position of communicator, teacher, facilitator, expeditor, choreographer, and conductor. When individuals create the space for the throat chakra individual to come along, their presence and awareness determines the level of articulation of true desire that is possible towards the evolution of that groups current level of consciousness. The more awakened the individual, the more the path of those who create the space is optimized through their yearning to aspire to higher consciousness. The more those individuals that created the space understand the dynamics of metaphysics, the better the outcome for their aspiring minds and hearts to embrace the oneness in which they exist.

There are two, difficult challenges in the life of the throat chakra-dominant individual. One is to ground and the other is to let go of the information given.

Grounding only means reminding your metaphysical self of your corporeal nature in the same moment. If you are a throat chakra-dominant individual, you will probably insist that you already do practice and are grounded. Even so, you must diligently practice grounding exercises and habits regardless of whether you “think” you are grounded. Ungroundedness is the cause of many frenetic minds and chaotic thinking, of lives that are full of great ideas but no expression, and of physical problems located mostly in the neck area. However, there are two other physiological connections to the throat chakra. One is a golden mean spiral of energy that encompasses the entire head, and the other are general issues related to the legs and feet. Living near water, mountains and being in water is very grounding. Doing grounding exercises, such as the following, is very beneficial and should be practised often.

1. Example Grounding Exercise - “As Above, So Below”

Close your eyes. Take a deep cleansing breath. Imagine a brilliant shaft of white light running up and down the length of your spine. See it extending infinitely upward to the Creator above and infinitely downward into the Earth.

Begin to breathe. With a deep inhale, feel yourself bringing the white light of the Creator from above into your body through the head. As you inhale, feel the white light coming in and going to all parts of your body, energizing, connecting all parts of you to the Creator. Do this three times. Each time, you bring the energy into your body.

With a deep inhale, feel yourself bringing the energy of the Earth up through your legs and into your whole body, mixing with the white light energy from above. The Earth energy is grounding, focusing you and centering you in the Earth plane of activity. Do this three times. Each time, you bring the Earth energy up and throughout your body.

Pause to feel the mixing: As Above - So Below. So you are connected to all things at all times. As you reflect inward upon your oneness, you will feel that special place of centeredness. When you are ready, open your eyes.

The second hardest thing for the throat chakra individual to do is to let go of the information they give to others. The reason for this is their own intuitive connectedness through the well-developed throat chakra. The individual who is strong in the throat will feel (and depending on the level of awareness, not always know) the trueness and exactitude of the information they receive. Thus, when one gives such connected information to another, there is an investment that the other person follow through because of the certainty of the giver.

Often is not the case, as free will predominates, and anyone has the ability to refuse good information, and even healing, should they choose. The throat chakra individual knows only all too well the veracity of the information that flows through them, though not always consciously. Tremendous frustration follows when the information given is not received, understood, nor implemented. Remember, that pertains to the listener’s level of metaphysical awareness, attentiveness, development and desire to improve their lives. Your soul group may call you, as a throat chakra-dominant teacher and communicator, but you may also give them information, however good, that is ahead of its time, so true that it cuts too deeply, or so esoteric no one can understand it. Remember, it is part of your soul’s purpose to make the information understandable and viable, so that the listeners may apply it to their lives.

So, there is an attachment to the information given, that limits the throat chakra individual, because they have difficulty letting go of their own correctness in terms of what the other person does what that information. The objective is to allow the individual receiving the information the ability to choose whether to follow it, and to allow them to take the responsibility for the information, regardless of the outcome. This can be a very large stumbling block for the individual who has a strong throat chakra presence, as they may be very invested in the goodness of the outcome. The more investment, the more limiting it is for the throat chakra individual, because you cannot make another person understand you.

Martin Buber, in his book I and Thou, speaks of a “betweenness” that occurs between two individuals having a conversation. That betweenness represents the possibility of all understanding, and it is gained only by allowing the possibility that understanding could take place. One must allow oneself to understand, to create the space where understanding is possible. You cannot push on a door that opens inward.

If the throat chakra individual practices the two principles of grounding and letting go, they will infuse their soul qualities into their personalities with much more ease and less suffering.
